2. Accounts

We store your email address, password hash, preferences, onboarding progress, usage counters, and subscription status so you can sign in and use Nova. A necessary session cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. Persistent chat, memory and cognition

We store messages, Nova's replies, founder profile, useful memories, summaries, decisions, commitments, and related cognition records. Persistent chat, memory and cognition let Nova continue your work across conversations. You can export data, clear memory, correct founder context, and request account deletion.

4. AI and voice providers

The text or audio needed for a reply is sent to the configured AI and voice providers. Current paths can use xAI and, for selected voice features, Deepgram or ElevenLabs. Local speech generation stays on our server when that option is used.

5. Transactional email

Our email host receives your address and the message content for verification, password reset, deletion, and subscription notices. These are service emails, not a mailing list.

6. Server logs and Sentry

Our hosting systems necessarily process network information such as your IP address. Application logs use request IDs and safe account IDs for security and troubleshooting. Raw verification links, query values, conversation text, and credentials are excluded from application access logs. Sentry receives scrubbed error details and release identity when an unexpected failure occurs.

7. Cookieless analytics

Umami provides cookieless analytics for page and interaction statistics such as the page, referrer, coarse country, and device information. It does not set an analytics cookie or build an advertising profile.

8. Digistore24 billing

Digistore24 is the merchant of record. It handles the order form, payment data, invoices, and final tax calculation. We receive verified order or subscription references, status, dates, and a customer management URL. Browser return values do not activate Premium.

9. Retention and deletion

Account and persistent Nova data remain until you clear them or request deletion. Deletion deactivates the account and provides a 14-day recovery period. After that period the account-owned database and cognition records are purged. A renewing subscription blocks deletion until verified cancellation. Digistore24 keeps billing records under its own retention duties.
